What is the difference between a wakeboard and a wake skate?

Q: What is the difference between a wakeboard and a wake skate?
A: The main difference between a wakeboard and a wake skate is that your feet are attached via wakeboard bindings to your wakeboard, whereas they are free on your wake skate. A wake board is more like a snowboard, and a wake skate if more like a skateboard. Therefore, some of the tricks that can be done on a wake skate are similar to those done on a skateboard. Instead of bindings, a wake skate has either grip tape or a non-slip foam.
